Phil Bienert Keynote Speaker
As head of Customer Experience for the credit card business of Citigroup, Mr. Bienert oversees the company’s Internet activities, including e-Business strategy, interactive communications, and web design and implementation for hundreds of Citi online properties.
Prior to joining Citigroup in 2005, Mr. Bienert led CRM, e-Business, and e-Retail for Volvo Cars of North America. Under his stewardship, Volvo became the first-ever automaker to initiate a completely online new-car launch, for the 2001 Volvo S60. Praised in the global press and awarded Best Interactive Marketing Campaign by Brand Week, this strategy led to a series of groundbreaking initiatives, including The Road to the Volvo S60, the industry’s first completely integrated electronic campaign, the Volvo Digital Garage and Volvo Virtual Showroom, two branded content portals within MSN, and a number of groundbreaking wireless, interactive TV and Video on Demand campaigns.
Previously, at Ford Motor Company, Mr. Bienert held a series of brand, design, business strategy, and product development positions, including leading re-branding projects throughout Asia and playing a key role in Ford’s purchase of Volvo Cars. Mr. Bienert holds an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Georgetown University.
